Ok guys, I've set up a 12 team league on ESPN. I'll give you a bit more info later today, but in the meantime you will need to register on ESPN, using the link below -

https://r.espn.go.com/members/register?registrationFormId=espn&appRedirect=http%3A%2F%2Fespn.go.com%2F

Then I'll need your e-mail address to send you an invite. You can either leave your e-mail address here or if you prefer you can e-mail me direct from the members section on the UKRaiderNation website.

I've set the draft date as Sunday 6th September at 20:15 in the UK or 15:15 EST for our American friends. You can either draft online in person on the Sunday or ESPN will autopick for you, if you can't make it.

If you've got any questions, just give me a shout.

Cheers Gaz, your invite is on its way.

As I said I'd get back later today with some more details. I'll try and explain everything for the benefit of the new people to fantasy football, so if your a FF veteran I apologise.......

I've set the league up for 12 people, however it's simple enough to change it back to 10 should we not get enough interest. The league is split into two divisions, the AFC & the NFC (Not very original, but I'm open to other suggestions). You'll be allocated a division based on the order I receive your e-mail address. All of the odd team numbers are in the AFC, the even in the NFC.

The draft is the Sunday before the season starts at 8:15pm UK time , that way you don't have to worry about any of your players getting injured during the pre-season games. The draft order will be set randomly. Once everybody has joined I'll input all the teams and your e-mail addresses into a draft order randomizer (ProFantasySports does one), click a button and the draft order is randomly set. You will each receive an e-mail from ProFantasySports stating the order, just to show there was no cheating going on  Smiley I've done it this way, instead of getting ESPN to generate the random order an hour before the draft, so you can have a crack at the ESPN mock drafts leading up to the draft once you know your draft position. (If you're new to FF then I would certainly recommend this as the time goes by really quickly when it's your turn to draft and you're frantically looking through your cheatsheets).

As I mentioned in my previous post I've set the league up using ESPN default rules except for trade veto rules. Instead of  any trade being subject to my veto, it will require 6 votes to stop the trade going through. I would think this has to better because how can I veto my own trades  Grin

If you've got any other questions, just give me a shout.

Hi, guys!  Thanks for the invite!  I'll PM my email addy.

I know Tiberius wants to play, but right now he's on a business trip and out of touch for a bit.  I expect he'll be around to join up this weekend at the latest.

(And how did you get hold of that pick of me dressed up like Jessica Alba in a Raiders bikini??    Grin )

ETA:
PS - Thanks for timing the draft to accomodate the time zones.  Much appreciated.   And THANKS for setting the draft order well in advance of the draft.  I seriously like that and seriously hate it when the order is a last minute announcement.  Grin

And let me know if there is a cost to host the league on ESPN so that I can chip in.

Signed up with ESPN and sent my E-mail address by PM.

I too thank you for accomodating the US time zones, as I will be over there for the draft.

 Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

I'm all signed up and accounted for.  And BTW, I like the roster setup and the scoring system.

Just a fun side note.  I play in a guys against gals FF league called Guys and Girls Galaxy League (GGGL - pronounced Giggle  Grin )  Each team is named for some astronomical item.  When I was invited in, it was to take over the Earth team.  So I chose the team name Earth Angels.

And for the love of the universal balance, and because I live in New Jersey, for our league here I chose the name Jersey Devils.  After all, New Jersey is their home according to the wackos down in the New Jersey Pine Barrens.  Grin

Tibs and I were talking, and we wondered if you guys would like us to invite some fantasy football people we play with to come into this league.  We just didn't want to be rude and invite our own guests to the party.

I don't know how many peeps you think will come.  You may want to keep those slots for your site vets.  But we're talking Raider Nation people in any event.  Just let us know what you'd like.

Thanks for that. We've still got 6 spaces to fill, but if we can give it a couple more weeks for the guys to re-join the forum, now camp has started, and see where we are at then.  Smiley

We've enough for a 6 team power league now. Ran some of those  B4, the starting lineups are fear striking.

The rest is gravy from here on out.

I really like having a late draft here.  Time to see the field.  Grin  It's my latest draft this year, and I like variety in my FF leagues!

ETA:  Also, I'm sorry I haven't been around enough, too.  Grin    A bit of a bug kicked my butt.  Grin
