I'm thinking of going out for the Bengals game on the 22nd November. I'm looking to take in the Stanford game against Cal on the Saturday as well. I think I can get a pretty good deal flying out of Manchester and staying in San Francisco, but I've never been before. Can anybody give me any advice or let me know what I should be looking out for or where to stay etc. There aren't that many cheap flights left so I'm going to have make a quick decision!! Thanks in advance

Stay in San Fran. Getting to the stadium is easy there is a BART train station accross the road.  Go on hotwire and other websites for a cheap hotel ours was a good prices. Ours was not high class but was pretty cheap and not to far from the water.

Sorry Watchman, I missed this. I'm all booked to fly over for the Chiefs game. Got a ticket to watch the Cal Bears play Arizona as well, so I should get one decent game in anyway.  Cool

Fly out on Friday the 13th, via Frankfurt, and fly back the following Tuesday. Long way for four nights but it keeps the cost down.

Had an absolute blast, despite the score!! I know Russell isn't brilliant but he got absolutely no help from his WRs last Sunday.

Enjoyed the Cal game the day before as well. Totally different atmosphere between college and NFL games.

I've tried to post a couple of pictures to this reply, but I can't seem to figure out how to do it  Huh Huh

The tailgate party is superb isnt it ?  I found everyone so friendly the second they heard your english accent.  The Violator (Wayne) is a top lad.

Glad you enjoyed it

I am thinking of making my way back out to Oakland for next season as well. Will stay in San Fran as before as it is so easy to get to the stadium using the BART. I stayed at The Mosser Hotel right near Powell Street BART. Would like to make it when the Raiders have two home games in a row, but will have to see where in the season that falls.

Last time I was out Sept/Oct time. Weather was great although got myself sunburnt at a afternoon A's game Cool

The tailgate party really is one of the best parts though, make sure you get there early.  As soon as someone hears your english accent theyre like your best mate giving you food or a beer.

Theres often a lot of ex-Raiders around, when i went i met Phil Villapino, Charlie Smith and a fair few others.  But get there as early as you can to soak in the tailgate party for hours !  Brilliant experience
