Oh and I think City will lose at Blackburn tomorrow - and it will be the kick up the arse we need.

Liverpool shouldn't have sold Alonso - they missed him today.

Though United won, they are certainly vulnerable based on yesterdays performance.

Yeah, Utd were my tip for the title last year despite only winning 1 of their first games.

Who have been the most impressive teams so far? and who have been rubbish?

I think Spurs have looked good and could well edge City into 6th or 7th place. If I was a Portsmouth or Hull fan I'd be worried. Pompey look like they couldn't score in a brothel, as for Hull they're the brothel owners letting everyone else score!

So City blow another £24m on a player who is worth no more than a third of that. Barry at £12m yeah thats fair. But Lescott twice as much. Rubbish.

But that will happen now that every club thinks they can milk City. Far from City being the reason the transfer market is obscene I blame the selling clubs who are being greedy. I think if Arsenal or anyone else had gone in for Lescott they would have had him for £10m.

Last night was a good result for Villa. They need the reduction in games.

I can still see someone making a move for Ribery.

Only 3 days of the window left though so someone will have to move quickly.

I was surprised Villa won at Anfield, Scousers have had a rough start.
