Jamarcus Russell's contract

I'd like to inject some reality into the the JR debate. This is Al Davis we're talking about here. The guy who is currently sueing the NFL and Oakland. Who made Marcus Allen ride the pine over a contract dispute. Listen I don't care how great this kid is because when it comes to Al Davis it's his way or the highway. He will not bend on this, and he sure as hell not going to brake for a unproven Rookie QB. The only way you'll see Russell is if he gives into Davis's terms.  Good or bad, right or wrong that's the way it's going to be.  This really sucks cause if they lose this kid and he gets drafted next year and turns into the next Elway, all were going to hear about is how stupid we are, But that doesn't bother Al cause come hell or high water Al Davis will stick to his guns.

Good points hav, Al wont budge but that stubborness can actually do more harm for the franchise than good. I sometimes think that Al believes this is still the late 60's or early 70's, well moved the game has moved on since then.
