Anyone who say the incident and the replays, can only be horrified by the extent of the injury. Can he really come back from this?

He'll be back, but whether he'll be as good - I dont know. Everytime a defender goes in he'll have a flashback or two. He may pull out of challenges which you wont blame him for.

He does seem upbeat about his future and has forgiven Martin Taylor. But you never know what the effect it will have on him psychologically.

You hate to see players have their cut short due ti injury - in any sport. It happened to the great Colin Bell at City, in a game against United as well.

I remember that. Bell was a class player but unfortunately it happens. Haven't heard much of him lately.

Still does stuff at City - corporate entertainment and such like. He did try a comeback but it never happened. Mind you advances in medical science and surgery mean if he had the same imjury know he'd back playing in 9 months

I'm surprised that he hasn't entered into management. Then again, just because they are good players doesn't mean they can translate into being good managers.

Yet Jack wasn't too bad. It then becomes a matter of whether you would consider Jack anywhere near on a par with Bobby as player.
