• 1. Anthony Davis, OT, Rutgers. It's not a particularly strong year for offensive tackles, but it's a desperate Oakland need, and Davis might fill it.
• 2. Rolando McClain, ILB, Alabama. A physical tackling machine who excels against the run, McClain seems a natural successor to fallen-out-of-favor middle linebacker Kirk Morrison.
• 3. Derrick Morgan, DE, Georgia Tech. Having racked up 12.5 sacks last season, he is considered equally good at stopping the run as rushing the passer.
• 4. Mike Iupati, G, Idaho. An outstanding run blocker who needs work on pass protection, he already has an "in" with coach Tom Cable, a fellow Vandal.
• 5. Dexter McCluster, RB, Mississippi. He's small but fast, and we know Al Davis' infatuation with speed. Plus, McCluster could address Oakland's woeful return games.
• 6. Carlos Dunlap, DE, Florida. A December driving-under-the-influence arrest brings unwanted baggage with his blend of size (6-feet-6, 278 pounds), speed (4.78-second 40-yard dash) and sacks (nine).
• 7. Trent Williams, OT, Oklahoma. Somewhat short for a tackle at 6-5, he's nonetheless seen as one of the more athletic offensive linemen out there.
• 8. Taylor Mays, S, USC. Davis loves USC guys, no matter that Mays' stock has dropped. He's a big hitter, although his tackling is suspect.
• 9. Dan LeFevour, QB, Central Michigan. Not the classic drop-back passer Davis prefers, but extremely accurate and good insurance for the future. Paging JaMarcus Russell.
• 10. Darrell Green, CB, Hall of Fame. Yes, we know he's retired, but did you see he ran a 4.43 40 on his 50th birthday? Did we mention Davis loves speed?
