TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Alabama LB Rolando McClain, who was projected to be the first player taken at his position and a top-15 pick in the 2010 NFL Draft, revealed Wednesday following his pro day workout that he suffers from Crohn’s disease.

After completing the session of linebacker drills, a fatigued McClain knelt down on a knee and held his stomach. He later revealed that his discomfort probably stemmed from his Crohn’s disease, which he said was diagnosed when he was in ninth grade.

McClain said he treats the condition — an inflammatory disease of the intestines — with seven or eight pills daily. McClain never missed a game at Alabama or had to leave a game because of the condition, according to his agent, Pat Dye Jr.

NFL teams are aware of the disease, Dye said, adding that McClain hasn’t tried to hide it. Dye added that no teams expressed any concern about McClain’s health to him.

Jaguars QB David Garrard also has Crohn’s disease and has been outspoken about his condition.

Based on his abilities and level of performance, he may well be gone by the time the 8th pick comes round.

A lot of the mock draft have him landing to us at 8th pick. In mocks i've seen he's picked 9th by the bills.

As with every draft, the pundits tend to start off with the same basic picks for their mocks then after the Combine they start to differ in some respects and after each major Pro Day they may change again.

I still see some oddball mocks including one with us taking Clausen. But mostly Davis or McClain at the mo.

Most mocks i've seen asume we are going to pick an LT. But they have said that most years.

They tend to change when they start getting better intelligence after the major FA signings have been done.

Not very amicable then. Have to say that I have not had any real problems(he says, furiously searching for some wood), and we have been married a long time. Mind you we have lived all of our married life in Scotland far enough away from both families to be totally independent and that I think has helped.

The fact we lived with a 15 mins from all her family killed us.
