the ps3 has been able to be hacked and modded for a while now and sony are constantly battling the hacks to get the upper hand again. The reason why it remains virus free is that the os is not an os that people try to bother infecting, although hackers have been unbanning themselves and banning random accounts for giggles so just make sure you have the right posts open.
