What does everyone think of this? I quite like the way it's turning out in the West, with it now looking like Texas, Texas Tech, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State will join Colorado as new members of the Pac-Conference. If you then add Utah into the mix, Commish Larry Scott will have added Dallas, Texas, Denver and Salt Lake City to the TV markets in one fell swoop. The two sets of eight in the divisions make sense and the pattern on the Pac10 (with two teams in each area) is maintained, if you make something of the Colorado / Utah pairing - maybe the High Altitude Bowl?

With the TV deal being up in a year or so, a Pac-16 channel that included Texas, Oklahoma, USC and Oregon is massively marketable and will rbing in a lot of revenue.

Should work really well as they seem to be putting together an interesting conference and seem to marketing it all quite well.

Looks like Colarado are the only ones to leave. Colarado are the one of the lesser teams in the Big 12. So not a big loss. Plus the conference is a big basketball conference a lot BB rivelry games would go and revinue lost if they when west.

Dammit. I was looking forward to a Pac16.

Anyhow, Colorado is a good addition. Most people don't realise that the Buffalos are 17th on the all-=time win list in College Football. They've struggled with recruiting while they've been in the Big12; traditionally they recruited West, particularly in California, but the lack of exposure there hurt them and they found it difficult to compete with the Texas schools in that other recruiting hotbed. They also bring the Denver TV market which is good for money.

I'm certain the Pac10 will now go after Utah.
