Still under the cap!

Despite all the huge wads of cash Al has been doling out to anyone and everyone PFT.com via SFGate are reporting we are still 4.6 mill under this years cap. Obviously future problems may reveal themselves in time but when you consider we can make more room with cuts like Jordan/Schweigert or trades like Washington/Schweigert and more imprtantly signing Nmamdi long term I woudn't rule out the end of our spending and signing the rookies should be ok too (barring a Russell type soap opera)

4.6m aint a lot when you have a top 5 pick. I reckon Jordan and Washington will be gone and Schwiegert will be asked to redo his contract. He's worthwhile keeping as a backup as long as he can learn to tackle. My nan is better than him and she's been dead nearly 30 years.

If Stu hasn't learnt to tackle by now, then he never will , it's more than that for me it's his pursuit angles which set him up for last ditch tackle or bust type plays. He has the excuse that the front 7 don't protect our safeties from backs running full speed at or away from our safeties but still if you get beat out by Hiram Eugene you are not long for this world.

We are getting better at DB positions but we still need to cut some of the less productive players and introduce some more heart and skill in this area.
