I can really see Al Davis picking this guy next year. He's likely to end up mid first round, which is hopefully where we'll be, and has the usual Davis requirement of being tall with a big arm.

I'd rather have Andrew Luck though Wink

We dont have a first, we traded it for Seymour.

Mallet is your prototypical pocket passer, but it hasnt worked well for us recently as we have no protection. ie Andrew Walter.

Luck may come out, if he does he will be a top 5 pick, Locker may go top 5 as well, and then you got Nick Foles, we could see 3  pac 10 guys go in the first round, Christian Ponder might also be a first rounder, Sam Bradford is lucky he got his big contract this year, if he was in next years draft he wouldnt be a first rounder IMO.

One of these guys might slip to round 2, thats where we could look at one.

Personally I love Denard Robinson.

The guy is simply exciting to watch. His accuracy is getting better aswell.

I think Gabbert and Newton are the only 2 QB's that will go in the 1st.

I think Mallet with his off the field issues could slide down well into the bottom of the second. I think we should take a O-lineman with our 2nd. But if he's there at the bottom of the second we should really try to consider moving up to take him.

He could sit behind JC for a year. He has that big arm that Al Covets and if you look at his numbers and physique etc, I cant for the life of me see why Mallett is so far being Gabbert in terms of draft value.

Obviously we have so many other needs, but I can see it as being an AL type deal.

Didn't I read somewhere that Locker has behavioural and possible drug related issues and that his draft stock is dropping? If so he could be a consideration. I would still like to get a QB as a development project but there are more pressing needs.

Do you mean Mallet?

Yeah I think there have been huge character issues, and suspected cocaine usage, which has resulted in this stock dropping.

But apparently he's interviewed OK, so maybe he wont fall that far.

As for the Cocaine use. Its pretty hard to prove, as its out of your system so quickly. Thats why half the premiership are on it.

Mallet has problems setting his feet when there is any pressure on him, his arm is bigtime, but his lack of composure has lots games in the past for his team.

I wouldnt go near him.

Unfortunately, composure is a NFL must. He will be under pressure the whole of his Pro career.  However long that is!
