Well a good opening drive for a touchdown, Jason Campbell made some nice throws.  Good start against the 49ers starting defense.  DHB had two catches in the first 5 minutes.

Finished with 3.  Did have one drop (As did Louis Murphy) but Murphy made up for it with a great long touchdown before halftime.  Zach Miller also had a nice grab and carried a few defenders into the end zone.  Nice long FG by Jano as well

McFaddens stats are deceptive, you see them and it looks like he was terrible.  But on his first two runs , 49ers LB Patrick Willis blitzed, no one picked him up so on successive plays McFadden was dropped for a bad loss.

The passing game looked good but we were dire at rushing the ball.

Plus worst of all the Niners had some nice long runs from both Gore (2 carries for 98 yards !) and the backup.  The run defense is still worrying, granted Seymour didnt play at all (At DT), but the loss wasnt that bad, the Raiders did alright overall.

Jason Campbell gave me a huge huge scare when he was hit and was on the field for a while, i've read its not serious and its a stinger.

Gradkowski did very well, disappointed he couldnt get one final drive late on but he played well.  Considering its his first full action due to injuries in the offseason he played well.  Comfortable with him as backup

Campbell going down was scary but I do think Grad is a more than capable back up.

Just watched the highlights, looks a good game. Gave up a few big plays mind,  and yoyu cant bring down Gore with just your shoulder.

Is it me or DHB look bigger this year?

57 yards FG from SJ was nice

Watchman; I watch the whole game and Gradkowski should be name starter;  Campbell had a good opening drive but that was it...I don't know what it is but the players play for Gradkowski, even the defense tighten up once Gradkowski got in the game.

Campbell hasn't done anything wrong and was Grad playing against 1st or 2nd stringers?

I agree Campbell has done nothing wrong;  just think he the wrong kinda guy for the offense...he an Al Davis QB, meaning drop back seven step and unleash the bomb; problem with that is the Raiders cannot protect a guy that long.

I just hope this is not another Al Davis project on the long bombs.

That true that Grad face 2nd and 3rd stringer in the 2nd half.

I guess I was wrong;  Grad did play the 49ers first team defense much longer than just the first half

Linebacker Patrick Willis agreed.

"There is no way they should have scored 21 points on our first team," he said. "We just have to go back and get better at practice. Come back out and have better attention to detail next game. That's all, just hope Campbell will be back as the starting QB in the regular season, because we will have no chance  of winning if Gradkowski is the starting QB"

I reckon that there will be quite a few people that will be hoping for Campbells injury to keep him out for a little whille to allow Grad to establish himself as the starter.

I can't help it; I'm just a big Gradkowski fan. He just seem to find a way to get that first down

Oh come on Supes. You admitted youre a huge Gradkowski fan but i also think you'll be a fan of any backup on the Raiders the second the starter is 'struggling'.  You wanted Tui starting in 2002 when the Raiders lost a few games under Gannon !  Gannon led us to the Superbowl !  Lets 'give up' on Jason Campbell if Oakland are 1-6, not after a few preseason games.

We didnt throw tons of bombs though under Campbell, Campbell threw 4 passes to DHB, 3 of which were caught (one dropped) and they werent exactly 40 yard spirals.

If Campbell was throwing 10 bombs in every preseason appearance you would have a point.  Its Hue Jacksons offense, forget the usual 'Al will have him throwing bombs' rubbish.

I reckon that there will be quite a few people that will be hoping for Campbells injury to keep him out for a little whille to allow Grad to establish himself as the starter.

Thats bad if thats the case. I want the best QB for the Raiders to start.  I trust Hue Jackson on this one, Gradkowski has only just come back from injury and was a risk as our starter based on 4 games last year and coming off two knee injuries.  I would love Gradkowski to be another Gannon and resurrect his career but it wasnt like a ton of teams were trying to sign Gradkowski in the offseason, he wouldnt have cost other teams that much.

I can't help it; I'm just a big Gradkowski fan. He just seem to find a way to get that first down

But come on Supes dont turn that into total bias.

The second Campbell throws an incompletion or interception in the first game you'll be calling for Gradkowski.  I do like Gradkowski but Campbell has done well the last few preseason games.  He had a good game against the Niners.  The last two games hes led Oakland downfield on the opening posession against teams starting defenses, the Bears and the Niners.  Thats impressive, dont think we've had an opening drive for a touchdown for quite some time.

I just want the Raiders to win, Gradkowski did do very well but its preseason. What next ?  A Colt Brennan fan wants him to start if Brennan has a good 4Q for us this week ?  A Kyle Boller fan thinks Boller should start the second he throws 2 td's against a 2nd string defense ?

Campbell has done well, the teammates love him, Hue Jackson and Cable have been complimentary of him.  Lets give him a chance before you want your favourite QB to start instead !

When Gradkowski beat the World Champions Pittsburgh Steelers last season, we should not even have a discussion on who the starting QB for the Raiders is this year...
