It really looks more than 15-17lbs when he has the pads on.

When Gradkowski beat the World Champions Pittsburgh Steelers last season, we should not even have a discussion on who the starting QB for the Raiders is this year...

Great point !  When Andrew Walter beat the world champion Pittsburgh Steelers in 2006 (when we went 2-14) he should have been given the reigns to start for the next 10 years !

You know what, the coaches with years of NFL experience should move over, Hue Jackson hasnt a clue whats going on, let us armchair fans pick the QB every week !

I see one of the Steelers website is starting a petition to get Campbell the starting QB, I wonder why they fear Bruce

Thing is; the guy already proved himself and the players just seem to up their game when he is the starting QB. To me Gradkowski is more of a Coach on the field; if things are screwing, he will fix it.

I do think Gradkowski will end up coaching a team after his NFL career is over, might not be NFL, but somewhere

You talk about Bruce as if hes some perrenial all pro and has thrown for 20,000 yards in his career.  Where was the 'great' coaching in Tampa or Cleveland ?  He had a shot with both teams, specially Cleveland where they were crying out for a QB but failed.

Last year he did very well for us, specially that Pittsburgh game.  But other backup QB's in the past have done okay at first (Billy Joe Hobert came in and threw a few late td's against Kansas then stunk it up a week later against Pittsburgh).  Marinovich beat the Giants and Bills in 1992 who were both top teams back then.

Now you're saying he'll make a great coach !  You said the same thing about Gannon, is Gannon coaching ?  Nope.  He likes the commentary booth.

I would love it if Gradkowski became the next Plunkett but the problem is you overhype anything he does, whether its playing or now 'coaching'.  Tons of QB's get the respect from their teammates but not all go into coaching.

You really have to calm down on the Gradkowski lovefest

So  explain to me what Gradkowski done; that require him to sit on the bench....I mean the offense is moving and he scoring Touchdowns and he is not giving the ball up or taking sacks...

I mean what he done that require him to sit on bench

I said last year it was a shame Gradkowski got injured as i believe in those final few games if he had started and done well then the Raiders would have probably have gone with him this year as starter.

Losing last season was bad but losing Gradkowski was even worse as it was still a bit of a gamble to what we had in Grads.  Was he the talented QB we saw against Pittsburgh or a few flukey appearances and a perrenial backup as he was with Tampa or Cleveland.

Gradkowski played very well against the 49ers in preseason.  But are you saying we should forget what Campbell has done in not only preseason up to that point but also training camp (Neither me or you see training camp) ?

I have full faith in Cable and Jackson, not a UK fan who is very very biased towards Gradkowski.

Campbell wasnt throwing ints left and right in preseason, the one he threw against the Bears wasnt a great pass but he had played very well up to that point.

Gradkowski did everything asked of him as a backup QB, came in and moved the ball well and threw a great pass for a td in the 2 minute warning.

Does that ONE appearance in preseason instantly make him the starter ? Course it doesnt.

Usual armchair coach.  Want a WR benched the second they drop a pass, want the backup QB in the second the starter throws an int.  Think they know best, wont change their view for anyone !
