Microsoft have put a software in most EU computer called Browser choice

Is there any way to get rid of it !

type Browserchoice.exe in your start search box and if it show; mean it in the computer ( warning don't click the link as it will install it to your desktop)

Thing is mine has gotten corrupt; have no idea how it got corrupted and you cannot uninstall it.

What happens is when I start my computer up; instead of loading my browser when I want to, it automatic load my browser on to my screen right at the beginning , which I don't like.

I think this is all part of their new live messenger, office etc that you installed via an update a couple of weeks ago.  Basically, uninstall the windows live stuff and you're all good again Smiley

I hate all this live bollocks and want to access stuff when I want to.  The only pain is that it constantly says that you need to install the update but I can live with it.

edit = it is called Windows Live essentials.  Go to your uninstall part of windows and select windows live essentials 2011 to uninstall.  It should get rid of it.

Thanks for the info; just can't really get  much info about it on the internet

At the moment I having to just use Google Chrome browser; my fave is Opera browser but had to uninstall it because it come straight on to my screen, when I press the startup button.

The whole problem is the Browser choice.

Mozilla is great for web design and things but slows righ down with everything added and working.  The speed of Chrome is pheonominal but it is a Google product so you end up giving over all of your data to the buggers.
