Baseball season's back again, and the new look Athletics have got off to a good start, despite injuries to Chavez and Harden. Lost tonight in Cleveland (in a snow storm FFS - I thought baseball was a summer sport).

Anyon else take MLB.tv and watch online?

I sometimes watch or record the Channel 5 games and when I'm in the US I will watch games but I don't take a great deal of interest.

Used to like the old A's, back in the days when Jose Canseco was the talk of the slugging and home run circles. Now, not so much.

The stats etc can be confusing but fortunately I have expert advice close at hand. Though, it doesn't always help.

Ave been over here 5 years and I still can not get into Baseball. I sort of get a jist of the rules. I even ended up going to a Nationals game and I was bord out of my skull. Worst is I can sit watching a cricket match for 5 days and enjoy every moment.

Thats odd. Prefer Ice Hockey and Baskeball to Baseball, use to do some freelance stuff covering the Manchester Giants and Manchester Storm.

I have been to some 'A' and 'AA' ball and I had alot of fun and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. But I would like to be able to go and see a Major League game.

Used to love Baseball. Well, I did grow up in the States. My fave moment of all time though was when Kirk Gibson went "Yard" against Dennis Eckersley in game one of the 1988 World Series. Magic moment.  Smiley

sky plussed the Mets@Phillies game last week and it's taken me a week to get to the 7th inning, I can only seem to watch an inning or two before my mind wonders and this is coming from someone who'll sit and watch cricket all day.

It's on Ch 5 on certain nights after midnight. Also I think on NASN which is part of Setanta now.

I still record it off Channel 5 every now and again but it pretty much depends on who is playing.

Any A's fans on here ?

Just signed free agent Orlando Cabrera this week.

Looks like it could be a good year if they keep Holliday  all season and Giambi and Chavez stay healthy ( a big if for  Chavez)
