the chart itself

http://www.profootballtalk.com/2008/04/15/new-draft-trade-chart/

Now i've not examined in detail bu I am abit sceptical about the top of the first round. ie to trade up from 4th to 1st like this year for us would only take our third round pick (if we had it that is Smiley )
Somehow I think the dolphins would want more than that. I know the 1st pick is a poisoned chalice that has a lot of baggage but that just seems too cheap to me.

I think if we wanted to trade up you would be looking obviously our 4th with a look into the 2009 draft and later for compensation picks too.  That said, there are at least 4 decent players which could go within our pick range this year and giving up a few picks over the next couple of years would be way too much.

I agree that the Fins would want more than a 3rd rounder. We will have to wait and see if this one is adopted by the teams.

I was in the trade out of 4 camp (but only to the Cowboys), however just recently I have change my mind and we should keep the pick.
In a way I'd prefer to others teams to get their picks done - trading up 3 places aint worth it in the long run.

Even with the best contract restructuring possible, I don't think we would have the funds to enable a trade up.
