Well, you may have read about this in another post and if you haven't, I have a competition for you with our first prize giveaway.
You will need to try and predict the names of our draft picks during next weeks draft. Remember we have pick no 4 (out of 3 people I feel) but the fun comes trying to get the names of the other picks. There are loads of mocks out there to give you some ideas and the person with the most correct names will win a signed Tim Brown football card (last rough value was around £25).
If there is a draw then I will organise some sort of lottery. Don't forget one list per person. You can change this list as much as you like up the day before the draft when all lists wil be final. Picks are as follows: pick 4, 104, 169, 213 and 226.
Good luck and lets get some lists together!!!!

I will start with my first 2.
1. Chris Long - I am going to go with my initial thought and put back in Chris Long. I hope brains come out on top with Al picking him rather than Mcfadden - we have some good back, we don't need another one.
2. Calais Campbell - This one is a real risk for me but I am going to run with it. Thought he would go in the first round but after reports of poor workouts, an average combine I think his stock will drop and if we take McFadden at 4 then we will look for at d-line next. If Campbell is still there he will go to us.
3. Dexter Jackson - a nice speedy slot and returns receiver that should fit in nicely to our scheme.
4. Curtis Gatewood - A well built and speedy outside Linebacker - after Howard we need someone right and after some practice squad time might get some time in the time.
5. Kerry Brown - Well we need some helpon o-line don't we and with a name like Kerry I thought it would be a gigle.

Campball won't fall to the 4th round though surely? I think just picking the positions we will draft would be hard let aknown the actual players who will be left in the 4th,6th and 7th rounds . Anyway here's hoping Al can fenagle some picks this week for some of our surplus players and we will have more to play with.

that's why there is a signed footie card as a prize fella. Quite a bit of a lottery but good fun just to dial in some of the players.

Here goes with my picks for the upcoming draft :-
Round 1: Chris Long DE Virginia. If he's still there. If not I think it will be Gholston.
Round 4: Donnie Avery WR Houston. Deep threat who the Raiders have had in Alameda for a look.
Round 5: Wesley Woodyard OLB Kentucky. Draft reports sound like a weakside Thomas Howard.A little undersized, but a tackling machine who never stops.
Round 6a: David Faaeteete DT Oregon. Again slightly undersized by NFL DT standards, but 100% competitor. And this is round 6.
Round 6b: William Robinson OT S.D. State Worth a look, to compete for a tackle spot. And the last player we took from SD State was pretty good.

I don't think you are allowed to hedge your bets on any pick. I suspect you will have to settle on on for the first round.

Hate to be picky but we only have no 5th round pick, one 6th round pick and 2 7th round picks. Plus I doubt Avery will be there at 4th round. the expecting 2nd or 3rd round Pick Player Pos Ht Wt College Round 1, Pick 4 (4) Round 4, Pick 5 (104) Round 6, Pick 3 (169) Round 7, Pick 6 (213) Round 7, Pick 19 (226) (From Vikings through Jets)

Here is my guess:
1. Darren McFadden RB Arkansas For obvious reasons like he is probably the best prospect in the draft and Al might not be able to resist.
2. Frank Okam DT Texas He is a big, strong and explosive run defender who anchored the Longhorns' defensive line from his strong-side defensive tackle position the last three years. Okam's dominance in the middle has seen the Longhorns rank sixth in rush defense in 2007 and finish third nationally in 2006.
3. Breno Giacomini OT Louisville A versatile player capable of playing either side of the ball. Big physical and consistent.
4. Vince Hall LB Virginia Tech Good hand strength able reroute tight ends and backs in the short-area passing game. Plays at a high intensity level and shows a good understanding for blocking concepts. Puts in extra hours in the film and training room and is considered a durable athlete who plays through pain.
5. Maurice Purify WR Nebraska Well-built receiver who possesses good height and has a sturdy, athletic frame that he uses to shield defenders on slant patterns. Gets off the line quickly and can stop on his pattern quicker than expected at his size. Big hands and good body control and can make the difficult catch in traffic. He will continue to fight for yards after the catch.
Purify might be a bit of a gamble because of his personal issues but we used to be able to take the bad boys and get them to play.

well after the first 2 rounds of picking R8RMR is top with 1 and the rest of us so far have failed miserably thinking that the Raiders would see sense and draft a player of need rather than someone that is not a necessity.

I can honestly say that I would wish not to have been right on this one. However, there is still a long way to go.
