Probably spelt his name wrong!

Exciting we might get a QB but I reckon it's all a smokescreen as Oakland have been way too outspoken about this guy which is unlike them

This the dumbest move on the planet; with a second round pick the Raiders need a starting offensive lineman....

Raiders are crap at drafting QB for the future; name one that has work, and before you mention Stabler, that was like 50 years ago

I'm not surprised if we get one, it'll be Hue Jacksons pet project.  He did a top job with Flacco and obviously wants his own young QB.

I must admit its exciting to get a QB so high but yeah Oline is the priority.  But i wont go crazy if we do draft a QB.  But the way the media have been talking about this QB and the Raiders, just reckon its a smokescreen for something else.

Read an article by Bill Williamson who said 'if' a QB is around when they pick then its worth going for it as great QB's dont come around often.  Ideally we go OL in round 2 and then a QB in round 3 but just depends what happens.

Granted i dont watch tons of college games but from what i've read QB Cam Newton doesnt sound like some exceptional overall top pick.  Glad we dont pick in the top 3 as there doesnt seem to be some stunning rookies like there has been in previous years.  Time will tell though

The O line the the secondary looks to be a higher priority, but as I have said before, bringing in a QB project would not necessarily be a bad thing. I realise that we have don't have a great track record but as was pointed out Hue could bring on a young QB to be able to take over.

Thing is a QB need time; and any QB that been in Oakland for five years would seen at least 4 Head Coaches in his stay

Despite the track record regarding HC, whose to say that Hue won't last for several seasons. If they take into consideration the turnover of people as HC, they will never draft a QB and that wpould be wrong. Constantly depending upon others to develop and then release QBs to FA doesn't really provide a much better option. How many QBs, of late, have come and gone but not proved to be the answer, other than Gannon? Besides they seem to do much better with selections in later rounds.

Same for the fans.  Sorry to call you out but over the years you've been quick to slate any QB we've had. Remember the famous Rich Gannon incident where you wanted him benched and start Tui (during our superbowl year !).

Billy Joe Hobert comes in and does well in his first action, fans want him as the starter until one week later when he bombs.  Jason Campbell had a rough start last year (due to a terrible o-line) and you want him benched.  The fans used to cheer for JaMarcus and then obviously turned.

The fans are notorious in Oakland for cheering on the backup QB constantly.  If we draft a QB in round 1 or 2 then the fans will be calling for him the second theres an incompletion from poor Campbell.

If Elway came to us in the 80's the fans would have booed him away from Oakland after a rough start.

The problem is every fan now expects a rookie QB to play like Matt Ryan/Joe Flacco and are disappointed if they dont.

I hope Hue is given time to develop a QB, probably wont be but he has history of doing that.  I hope he gets the chance BUT the fans have to be patient, if we start a young QB at some point (2012 ?) then there'll be a few lumps along the way, the fans cant stop cheering for the backup QB the second he throws an incompletion.

Seen it soooo many times over the years with Raider fans, very fickle bunch when it comes to QB's

Yep couldnt agree more, and they are going to struggle even more with virtually no o-line.

Build the o-line through the draft and maybe a vet or 2 whenever free agency happens, same again next free agency and make a decision on campbell.

His contract is up at the end of 2012 if he has a decent season give ime a 3 year deal, if not then maybe draft a rookie QB round 1 which will more than likely be around pick 10.
