Hi guys, sorry I've not been around this past week and a bit (I had not forgotten you all) - I've been a bit busy because ...

My daughter, Thandie Sophia was born at 05:16hrs on Wednesday 23rd November 2011. Grin So as you can imagine, it's been a bit busy and hectic in 'Casa Del Otto' of late. I even missed the end of the Bears game due to a nappy change last week, lol Grin

We chose 'Thandie' partly as it it a Zulu name meaning 'loved one'; there is more to the story of the name of course, but I will not bore you all with it - but it has nothing to do with Ms Newton is all I will say.

Anyway, I will have to ask forgiveness for the creation of this thread, I'm a little excited that's all Smiley

Go Raiders!

Congratulations!

Where else would you announce, the arrival of another Raiders fan in the making?  Grin

Now the hard work and the fun begins.

Live long and prosper!

Thanks for the replies guys - much appreciated. Grin

Not sure little Thandie is a Raiders fan in the making though - she has screamed her head off two weeks in a row now whilst I'm watching the game. Smiley

Congratulations mate, that's great news.  Regarding her being a potential fan and screaming during Raiders games, don't we all do that?  She's just doing it louder than most Smiley

Just thought I would use this thread to give you guys an update (seems the most suitable place). Thanks guys for all of your support - much appreciated. Smiley

Our little girl is back home now and recovering well.  Everything is going to be okay.  Grin The Op was done with 'key-hole' surgery, so only 3 small scars.

She had a condition called 'Pyloric stenosis' which prevents food being passed from the stomach into the duodenum. This results in projectile vomiting (lots of it). It's a nasty little condition. I thought I would post a link below  if you want to have a read. If you have a baby, or know someone that does, and they start projectile vomiting - it could well be this.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pyloric_stenosis

I have to give a lot of praise to the Doctors and Nurses  at John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford - they were brilliant, just brilliant.

Once again guys, thanks for your concern and support.

Thanks for the update Otto. With the op completed you and your wife can hopepully look forward to more of the joys of parenthood rather than the anguish.
