Who's got one? What you got? How goods the battery?

I bought a Samsung Galaxy Ace and right now I'm getting about 5-6 hours of internet browsing/Instant messaging out of it.

I've got a Samsung Galaxy II and is super, duper fast.  My battery life is good considering what I use it for and always charge it in over noght so it never runs out.

Sweet. The Ace has the 1350mah, whereas I think the S2 has 1600 or 1800?

I do really like the functionality of the Ace, but battery is the biggest concern. How many hours use do you get out of the S2? And are you keeping things like Wifi/BlueTooth/GPS on? I switch all mine off and stay on 2G to eek the battery out.

Yeah, the battery is 1800 me thinks but it has a nifty task killer with it that limits what is being used etc.  I can have wi-fi on constantly, my e-amils refreshed constantly, bluetooth on, screen at half brightness (full brightness is way too strong anyway) and a host of apps open and still get through comfortably into the next day.

I have the task-killer, but that battery life sounds massively superior to what I have. I basically turn everything off and I can get just about 6 or 7 hours of 2G browsing + IM Messaging (probably about 300-400 minutes talktime). In fairness that's comparable to the majority of Smartphones I've read about. Blackberry being the exception...and now yours.

Not sure whether you are in a strong signal area. I am in a terrible area and that seems to force mine to work much harder to get signal at any given time.
