The Raiders reportedly have requested permission to speak with Green Bay Packers cornerbacks coach Joe Whitt Jr. about the Raiders defensive coordinator vacancy.
Whitt Jr., 33, has spent the past four years with the Packers and worked with new Raiders general manager Reggie McKenzie during that time.
NFL.com says the Raiders have asked the Packers for permission to let coach Dennis Allen interview Whitt Jr. Allen is seeking a replacement for Chuck Bresnahan.
The Packers have the right to deny the Raiders permission, given the position Whitt Jr. would interview for is not a head coaching job. Whitt Jr. also was with the Atlanta Falcons, in 2007. He coached in the college ranks for five years before signing with the Falcons.

Not too sure about this one. Don't know much about him. But with the number of teams denying the Raiders the opportunity to interview coaches from several other teams, I would be surprised if this one follows the same path.
