Good morning all.

Time for a little rant.

England v Germany friendly.  Friendly my ass.  86,000 fans don't turn up for a friendly they turn up for a war.  An England vs Germany match will, the same as an England vs Argentina match,  never be friendly or played in such a way.

Great start by England and they looked lively as hell.  I have never been a fan of Robinson over James and my point has been proved yet again after what I can only call it, the biggest fuck up ever in football.  Beckham should have never played over Wright-Phillips until he was 100% match fit although it was nice to see Owen in there.

We totally dominated in terms of possession the first half but as soon as subs come on and the shape changed , the attitude did with it too.  No passion, no fight and no wanting to get stuck into one of our arch enemies in football as we did in the first half.

If you're gonna play then you go balls out for the full 90.  The way only an englishman with heart and pride would play.  If this was a minnow team then I would let some of this stuff go as we should beat those teams anyway but Germany - come on guys, you're meant to be giving the new Wembley some dreams not fucking nightmares!!!!!!

p.s  Good morning all, how are you all today  Grin

Morning mate, as being half scot half english I have this ambivalence towards England, and especially friendlies.

Robbo was shite and James is not the future, just the scary past.

Ok lets just set something straight about us 'jocks' we are not anti-english and do not hate everything english. If any Englishman who has stayed in Scotland will know ,due to us all sharing a supposdly national media we are continually drowned in attention focused on any National english side no matter the sport, because of this we see the usual blind hype towards the English football team (a team that was meant to have won the last euro and World cups.....)We ourselves know an overated and mediocre side when we see one (Scotland World Cup 78 taught us that lesson)
What i'm saying is you build yourselves up with no foundation and Wed evening was a prime example. Players not fit (beckham & owen) ,no goalkeeper..and a manager who, correct me if im wrong was there during the carnage that was sven, and has not proven any managerial quality but for one cup at Boro.
The Germans seem to be rebuilding in the same vain as their golden days a workmanlike team with no prima donnas.
England should bring in young hungry players who want to play for the shirt not guys who need to play for England as part of any sponsorship agreement..Beckham, Cole, etc

Couldn't fault what you say, England are not nearly as good as the press think they are. Especially that Frank Lamplard fella.
Sven should have dropped Beckham after the world cup in Japan as for the following four years he was worse than useless.

Richards should play in the centre and that lazy arse Rio should be kicked to the curb. And he is another example of an over rated donkey.

As a Scotland Supporter I was fairly laid back with the Result.  As has been preiously said these games are to bring on young players.  England were sadly lacking in the Goalkeeper Dept.

Why oh why do they persist in having Two Small forwards playing when the English Game was all about a small poacher feeding off  a BIG Target man.  England deserved everything they got in this Game.
