Anyone got it? I have for the PS2 and had to create half a dozen players and do some real cosmetic work to get the roster close to what it is.
The real pain is having 2 at every position on the 0-line. Had to put Morris at RG and use Mark Wilson (Tackle) from the practice squad to make sure I have enough tackles on the team.
As for settings playing on all pro and reduced the INT sliders for both sides - though I think its too low so will just knock it up a bit. Maxed out the penalty sliders as well - again that may be too high and will probably lower them sligthly. Though not much.
Not started a fanchise yet. Question is do I try and replicate real life and not play Russell and Rhodes - decision's, decisions. ......and if not I'd want to start Walter. Of the 4 he's the best Throw Accuracy.

started a franchise today with a 14- 7 win over the Cards. Used all 4 QB's - one per quarter andMcCown had the best rating though no TD's. Culpepper 1 TD, 2 INT's and a INT for Rusell.
Defence held them to less than 200 yards

I was thinking of buying this on the 360 but the 44.99 price tag is sort of putting me off. EA are total bitches when coming to pricepoints

Never really got round to playing this as much as I wanted, still frustrates me a bit as the AI for the CPU is still not that clever. On offence it either runs from 2 WR sets or throws for 4 WR's.
What changes would you make to madden for next year to make it more realistic?

IO think the 360 version is pretty spot on. I eventually brought it for £15 (done a sneeky one in Blockbusters befroe I left) I think I still have one to sell as well.
The problem with Madden now is that there is not much you can do to it without ruining the feel. I liked 07 too with the superstar options etc, where you just play as one player through his career. The AI on the 360 version is pretty sweet especially on the harder skill levels and it has the ability to spot certain matchups and adjust. Not as good as would have liked but makes for some challenging moments. I think the main concentrationwas on PS3, 360 and wii as the other machines are going out of date and what with the raw power in the new machines there is more you can get into the game.

you can't do that to me fella. That is so unfair. kk, the PS3 has blu ray, and a shity load of future proofing with a good quality build but it comes at a price £300 with not a lot of games out for it but has a good release slate this year. Another benefit is that the online side of it is free. The 360 (failure rates aside which are guaranteed for 3 years (Sony does not offer that )) is a machine that has a shitload of games, graphically is the same or better than the ps3 atm, although the PS3 will knock the shit out of it in the future. You do have to pay for the online play but you will never wait for a game on it. That coupled with the premium is being dropped to £199 on Friday I don't think you could argue. If you want 2 - 3 more years on a console then the 360 is the way to go and if you want a kick ass machine that will stand the test of time then the ps3. Bear in mind that perhaps microsoft will reveal their next machine in production within the year. Fuck it, get a 360

Last night fired up the PSP for the first time in ages, and you know the Playbook on Madden o8 is the same as 06! No change from the days of Norv Turner. Find it really hard to pass, mind you Collins is my QB!

Went back to PS2, playing against the Jets, 15 min qtrs, accelerated clock, all - pro. Trail 6 -3 with 2 to play in 2nd qtr. Jets have the ball on the 20ish yard line. Rush game is pants (30 yards ish) but #2 ok with 150 yards.
