madden 08

I used to play loads of madden years ago (played over 10o games one year in frnachise mode) but i eventually gave up because i either found that it was too easy or at the level higher i couldnt never win (and i'm sure it cheated!).

Have the ps3 and 08 but cant get the passing at all; always giving up interceptions. Also cant figure out how to design own playbook but maybe thats in frnachise mode.

I wanted to design a playbook but you can only have 70 odd plays plus you then have to design your own packages. Using the standard playbooks gives you all that.

I've played about 60 games or so on 08.

I have a PS3 and while I do reccommend the console, Madden 08 is pretty sucky on it. The Raiders suck big time due to the last few years of garbage in real life so it can get quite frustrating playing against friends if you stick with the S&Black.  Franchise mode hasn't been changed in 3 years and player progression is broken unless you do all the mini games every week of the season and it is too boring with the constant loading, just let me play the games goddammit! Superstar is OK but to create a player it's hard again due to minigames being the basis of initial stats. Playing as an existing rookie is fun though and probably the most fun I had this version was playing as Russell.

All in all it is high time EA stopped cashing in and radically redesigned Madden and then a better XBox360port would be appreciated  too.

I might not buy Madden 09 this time around, I still enjoy playing it and FIFA but don't seem to have as much time to play recently.

Madden is annoying. I want to play 15 min qtr with the accelerated play clock but if you do the total yardage is ridiculous and kick offs only take 2 seconds! I might save for a PS3.....though the wife might not agree with that.
