As much as i hate the Pats this is bad though for obviously the league as a whole when the best player is gone for the year.  For the neutral fan its exciting though as its just made the whole AFC so much more open.

Reminds me of past years when a superstar gets injured, eg Dan Marino that one year, Jerry Rice another year, very bad

Have to agree. I would rather that we beat them with him at the helm than his back-up.

A couple things. Interesting how much the odds shifted in this weeks game with Brady out. The Pats getting points is rare but understandable under the circumstances.  There is some debate on whether the hit was "Dirty" or not. As far as im concerned, The KC player was trying to make a play and going all out until the whistle blew. Anything less from a defensive player and he would be on the bench. Unfortunate (for N.E) but not intentional.

The greater consensus is that it was an unfortunate circumstance and no fault could be attributed to anyone.

It will still be a difficult team to beat as they will play all the harder to confound the detractors and critics.

I agree, i wasnt surprised when they had Simms/Rattay in for visits, i think Belichik wants to prove he can win with the QB's he has on the roster.

Cassel could do an alright job as he has talent around him but it wont be the same.  Shame he threw that huge bomb to Moss last weekend (Cant believe i was cheering on KC !) as things could have totally changed if they had to punt from their 1 yard line.

Gonna be interesting to watch.  I still hope they lose tons of games though, cant stand them, not because of the Snow Bowl but their fans, so many bandwagoners.

If the pats oline give Cassell the same amount of time they gave Golden boy there will not be much of a drop off.

Under the circumstances, even if he doesn't play as well as Brady, the players around him will make up for some mistakes and their coaches will be able to compensate for him not being GB, unfortunately.
