Cool. Let me know when you are around town and we'll grab a beer. Speaking of the 2600, Anyone remember the football game for it? I seem to remember it had 3 men on each side and they moved as one. Basically horrible. The first football game I liked was for the Intellivision and it was "officially" sponsored by the NFL I believe. It was very good for the time and you could call different plays with the keypad.  Another one I remember was the Handheld games made by Mattel and Coleco. LED football. It was great. I still have one of the Mattel ones.

Anyone remember 10 yard fight???  That was the nuts at the time in the arcades and got a port onto consoles and computers too I think.  It is definitely around on Mame.

Another one from "Back in the day" was the Arcade Atari football. It was x and o's for players and had a rollerball to control players speed and direction.  Im pretty sure you had to play against someone. I can't remember the player options. That was a cool game. Im talking around 1980-82 or so.

Used to play 'Cyberball' a lot on my Amiga.  Also TV Sports Football was great on the Amiga, played that tons.  Of course like many others i so got into the Madden games.

One game i LOVED back in the 80's was 'Headcoach' on the ZX Spectrum.  Played that TONS.  You could trade/cut/draft players, only 24 teams and only 2 downs (Plus all players had a 3 letter first name and 4 letter surname) but got very addictive.  Basic graphics but a great early american footy management game

Man! Bringing up some good memories here. The Amiga had some very good graphics. I remember a game called 4th and Inches for the Commodore 64 that was fun to play. I got so good at it that I would let the computer score a few touchdowns and try to win from then on.  The football games now are off the charts with the realism. You even get the shit talking linebackers .

Yeah i remember that, i was jealous as my mate had a C64 and had that game and it wasnt on the Spectrum.  I bought 'Superbowl' by Ocean which was terrible, totally bug ridden.

The other game i REALLY loved was Headcoach on the Amiga.  Anyone remember the name of the team ? Schoburg Franklins ?  Loved that game and used to (ahem) write down the stats of the players which made it more fun.

Still remember some of them now, QB Pete Crowe, WR Kim van Obendorf, WR Galvin Green etc.

Come on people, dont tell me i'm the only one !  That was a very addictive simulation game.
