Former Raiders Coach Passes Away |
Former Oakland Raiders coach, John Rauch, passed away aged 80. Our hearts go out to his family at this very sad time. John Rauch gave the Raiders several great years as an assistant and head coach for The Oakland Raiders and he took us to our first Super Bowl in 1967. They were memorable years for the Raiders and they will never be forgotten and they should not be forgotten. |

So the dust has settled and the 2008 Draft is over. Over the next few days and weeks there will be much debate over the winners and losers – who had the best draft, who had the best value pick. And there will be fans all over the US (and the globe) who will vehemently disagree with the pundits arguing their team should have got a least a B+; some fans will be so disappointed in their picks that they’ll say “hell, it should have been an F”. |
Seeing the Raiders play at home in Oakland has always been a big ambition for me, one of those ‘must be before you die’ things. I’d seen the Raiders play at Miami during superbowl season, but Oakland would be a completely different experience. |

The draft is fast approaching with much speculation as to what the Oakland Raiders will do with the 4th pick. Will they take McFadden? Dorsey, Ellis or the legends son? The Raiders do have holes throughout the roster but let’s look to see where the priorities should be focused. |

The Raider Conspiracy Theories, Fact or Fiction |
I have been fascinated by a common theme in many of the Raiders fan forums in the US that NFL officiating crews and the media in general are all Raider Haters. I took it upon myself to look into this to determine whether or not it is myth in the mind of some Raider fan conspiracy theorists or if it has in fact some level of credence. |

That Old (Silver And) Black Magic |
|

An article by The Watchman For one moment you could almost be back in the 1970's. The Raiders, famed for turning around outcasts, rebels and underperformers into highly effective players, hope their old magic works on DE Kalimba Edwards who signed a 2 year $5m deal. |
